Part 1: What's Your Carbon Footprint ?

Even the little everyday things we do can affect our environment.  By taking this online quiz found by following the link below, determine what your carbon footprint is and compare it to the Canadian average.

Part 2: Effect of Transportation on Our Environment

Using the Environment Canada Webpage, along with any other helpful sites you may find, research how various types of transportation effect our environment and what is being done by our Country/Province to reduce the pollution created by these types of transportation. 

Record your findings on the "Transportation Tracker" handout.

Part 3: Are We Doing Enough?

Create an informational poster either encouraging Canadians to help our environment through making smart transportation decisions (refering to some of the initiatives the Canadian Government is involved in)

OR

Create an information poster as if you are the government advertising one of their many initiatives they have in place to combat transportation pollution.

Make sure to incorporate some of the information you have discovered while researching this topic into your posters.

Due Dates:

Part 1 - April 20th - By the end of Class

Part 2 - April 21st - By the end of Class

Part 3 - April 26th By the end of Class

*If you finish researching early, you may use your library time to begin working on your poster - otherwise it will be completed during class time and for homework no later than the end of class on April 16th!*
